  • Jason Hunziker, MD, did his undergraduate work at the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Utah and graduated cum laude in 1994 with a BS in Anthropology and a minor in Chemistry. He was inducted into Golden Key and Skull and Bones Honor Societies as an undergraduate. From 1994 to 1998, Jason attended the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Utah School of Medicine and did his residency from 1998 to 2002 in Psychiatry. He has inducted into the AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) Honor Medical Society after his intern year and served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry during the last year of his residency. He is active in clinical and didactic teaching of residents, medical students, and physician assistants and is board-certified in general adult psychiatry and consult liaison psychiatry by the ABPN.

    As an Associate Professor (Clinical track), he supervises psychiatry and triple board residents on their clinical rotations and supervises 3rd and 4th-year medical students doing clinical clerkships in psychiatry. He has taught various courses for all of the PGY years of psychiatry residents and 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year medical students. He is an active mentor guiding medical students considering a career in psychiatry and residents as they develop their career aspirations. Clinically, he is an inpatient psychiatrist providing treatment for a broad range of behavioral health disorders; He provides occasional outpatient and consultation service lending his expertise managing complex medical, substance use, and behavioral health concerns. He currently serves as the Division Chief of Adult Psychiatry, is the Behavioral ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Medical Director for the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Utah ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ plans, and is the Utah delegate to the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Hunziker is not accepting new patients.
