  • Dr. Kathryn Maurer provides patients with the treatment and management of gynecologic cancers. This includes ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and vulvar cancers, employing both traditional and minimally invasive techniques. She specializes in the minimally invasive management of gynecologic malignancies, comprehensive gynecologic cancer screening, and the evaluation and management of hereditary gynecologic cancer syndromes. Through clinical trials, she is committed to the advancement of the treatment of these cancers.

    Dr. Maurer earned her Sc.B. in Geology and Biology from Brown ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ and her Medical Degree from the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Michigan Medical School. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Utah School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a subspecialty certification in Gynecologic Oncology from the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

    Her academic role is as a Gynecologic Oncologist and Assistant Professor at the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Utah School of Medicine and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.     Dr Maurer is knowledgeable but conveys her clinical assessments of each patient in the most genuine and personable manner. She has a wonderful "bedside manner" and welcomes questions.

    She is an amazing Dr. I had a complete total hysterectomy with a couple nodes removed. From when we first met she explained my cancer to me and answered any questions I had. I just passed my 4 year cancer free. I enjoy seeing her every year. She is definitely a favorite Dr of mine and I would highly recommend her to anyone!!

    Dr Maurer makes you feel as if you were her only patient! She makes direct eye contact, listens to your concerns, answers a question (no matter how many you have) & takes your ideas in treatment planning options into consideration. Dr Maurer is upbeat, knowledgeable and professional without being overly clinical. I consider myself very fortunate to have such a well-respected & accomplished individual to be my oncology doctor!
