  • Dr. Gilligan grew up in Maine and went to Tufts ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ for her undergraduate degree (BA in Psychology). She then moved to California where she met her husband while working on her MS in Kinesiology. After graduate school, she moved to Denver where she worked for several years as a professional research assistant studying exercise in patients with diabetes and PAD before returning to Tufts for medical school. She did the Tufts Maine Track program, spending her third year in a rural hospital on Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum pathway. She moved to Utah for residency and stayed for her nephrology fellowship and faculty position. Sarah has 3 ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵren and, in addition to spending time with her family and pets, she enjoys running, hiking, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. Her professional interests are clinical nephrology and education.

    She came into the room introduced yourself she was very lovely yet she seemed very caring and it was very easy for me to talk to her, and to give her the rundown on what I thought might have been the problem, and she was very interested in that and made me feel very good.
