  • Dr. Shervin Rahimpour is a stereotactic and functional neurosurgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of movement disorders (Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia), pain (trigeminal neuralgia, brachial plexus avulsion pain, cancer-related pain), psychiatric disorders (depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and Tourette’s syndrome) as well as epilepsy. He has extensive experience in treating these orders with a variety of cutting-edge techniques including: focused ultrasound, asleep deep brain stimulation surgery, robotic surgery, laser ablation, stereo-encephalography, dorsal root entry zone lesioning (DREZ) and minimally invasive treatments for pain including trigeminal rhizotomy, radiosurgery and percutaneous ablations.

    Dr. Rahimpour’s research interests are in improving outcomes for deep brain stimulation in patients with speech and gait impairments. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ of Colorado. He obtained his residency and fellowship training in stereotactic, functional and epilepsy neurosurgery from Duke ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, enjoying the outdoors and photography.
