Treating Cancer Patients Who Have Urgent Care Needs
Huntsman Cancer Institute Acute Care (HAC) offers same-day care for cancer patients who need quick treatment for side effects and other issues, including the following:
- Infections
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness
- Side effects from cancer treatment like chemotherapy
- Blood pressure or blood sugar issues
The HAC team examines your health problems, answers questions, and gives treatment. The HAC care team can follow up with multiple visits until your health problems go away or improve.
The HAC is located on the 2nd floor of Cancer Hospital South.
The HAC is not a walk-in clinic.
To make an appointment, please contact your cancer care team and tell them the problem you are having. Your care team can often help you without referring to the HAC. If needed, your care team will set up an HAC appointment for you.
If you are unable to reach your care team, please contact the HAC at 801-213-4222 for assistance.
