Regular Checkups

Scheduling routine checkups is another important part of keeping ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵren healthy. By maintaining a regular checkup schedule, we can help prevent illness, detect hidden problems, and monitor your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ’s growth and development throughout infancy, ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵhood, and the teen years.

Outpatient Lactation Clinic

The new Outpatient Lactation Clinic will be located in the Pediatric Clinic (Clinic 6) on the main level at U of U Hospital. The clinic will be staffed primarily by the U’s International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC’s) with oversight from both pediatric and OB/GYN physicians.

The clinic is open to all new moms, regardless of where they delivered. No insurance or referral from a primary care physician required. Appointments are available at the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Hospital Clinic 6 and South Jordan ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Center. For more information or to schedule an appointment with the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ Hospital Clinic 6 Lactation Clinic, call 801-581-2205 or South Jordan Lactation Clinic at 801-213-4500.

Medical Education

We take training the next generation of health professionals seriously. We provide training to resident physicians (medical doctors completing additional training in pediatrics), medical students, and other health care trainees.

Appointments

It's a good idea to plan on arriving at the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ about 15 minutes before your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ’s scheduled appointment to allow time for parking and check-in.

Please also be sure that we have your current daytime and evening telephone numbers and current address so we can contact you for appointment reminders, lab test results, and the like. Also, please give us your email address so we can contact you for feedback on your visits. (Regular email should not be used for medical communications unless it's through MyChart.)

MyChart: Electronic Medical Records

MyChart® allows online access to your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ's immunization records, labs, and other results, as well as appointment requests and communication with your providers. Ask our front desk staff about signing up. Except in special circumstances (for example, if your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ has a significant mental or developmental disability), parental access will be limited to appointments and immunization records after a ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ's 12th birthday.

Telephone Calls

You can reach all of our services by calling 801-581-2205. Our outstanding pediatric staff is available to answer questions about your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ's health, to help with appointments, or to coordinate communications between you and your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ's pediatrician.

Nurses are also available to discuss urgent problems between 7 am–9 pm. For urgent questions overnight, please call 801-581-2205 and ask to speak to the pediatrician on call.

Prescription Refills

When calling for a prescription refill, please have your pharmacy’s number and the prescription details ready.

Requesting Referrals

When requesting a referral, it's best to see your pediatrician first to be sure your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ needs a referral and that your ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓƵ is referred to the best service.
